Parco Faunistico Valcorba, a 20 ha developping and exciting zoo located in north of Italy near Venice and Padoa, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced keeper to join our Mammal team. You will be responsible for the hands-on day-to-day husbandry of a large and diverse collection of mammals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a mainstream zoological collection and an awareness of current conservation issues and a passion for animal welfare.
The successful candidate must have:
A good animal knowledge
Experience of working on different species
Some experience in driving tractors/trailer and off roads vehicles
Full driving licence.
High levels of flexibility and practicality in order to respond to daily challenges
Varied skillset including maintenence,gardening
Italian language knowledge.
Work Duties
Day to day husbandry and care of a variety of animals.
Diet preparation.
Maintaining high standards around the park and enclosures
Undertaking gardening and basic repairs tasks.
Working effectively as an individual and as part of a small team.
